Deciding to buy a dual line stunt kite
It is time to fly a kite again. Even though I have flown kites before, it was such a while ago that I consider myself a kite flying beginner. I have vivid memories from childhood of my yellow dual line stunt kite. However I have no idea where it is now. My dad used to take me to a beach not far from our house and I'd head off to the wet sand and release my kite and enjoy its dance in the sky.
Now that my own son is more of a little boy than a toddler it is giving me a chance to consider some of the exciting things we can soon enjoy together. While he may still be a little too young for his own kite, what kind of dad would I be if I wasn't able to show him the ropes when he gets a little older?
So partly for my son's benefit and certainly for mine, I decided the time was right to get back into the hobby I so loved as a child. It is frightening to realize that it has been over 20 years since I last flew a kite. I'll definitely need some practice time before I show my son how it's done.
As a first new kite I decided to go for a Prism Nexus dual line stunt kite in yellow. For a start, the price of $59 seemed reasonable and it looks cool as. Most importantly it's the same colour as my kite from back in the day!
I am so excited about re-discovering my love of stunt kite flying and really looking forward to sharing it with my son. Here's my review of the Prism Nexus dual line stunt kite, my first stunt kite of the 21st century.
