kite chi
I first started to learn about kite chi when I watched a video by Corey Jensen. It actually prompted me to buy my first stunt kite from his shop which I wrote about in my Wind Power Sports review.
Kite chi involves feeling the kite instead of watching it. When we can rely on our sense of touch to know what the kite is doing, it allows us to use our eyes to become more aware of our surroundings. Simply enjoying the view is one of them. It also means we can see if our kite could be a potential danger to anyone nearby.
Corey appears to be a cult figure in the kiting world. Check out his internet video for his own explanation of kite chi. I also discovered an article he wrote for Kitelife Magazine that may be of interest.
Next time you're out flying, why not try learning how to use kite chi? For the best explanation of what it is exactly, check out Corey Jensen's stunt kite video available on Youtube.
